# Directions:

01 - Combine soy sauce, fish sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, grated ginger, and lime juice in a small bowl. Mix well and set aside.
02 - Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add garlic and onion, sautéing until fragrant and translucent, about 2 minutes.
03 - Add ground chicken to the skillet, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook until fully browned and cooked through, about 5 minutes.
04 - Stir in bell pepper, carrot, green onions, and chili. Cook for 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
05 - Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken mixture, tossing to combine. Cook for another 2 minutes to meld flavors.
06 - Spoon the chicken mixture into lettuce leaves. Garnish with cilantro, mint, chopped peanuts, and extra lime wedges.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • You get that perfect crunch without the heavy carbs of a traditional bun or taco shell.
  • The sauce hits every single flavor note, from salty to sweet to tangy, all in one bite.
02 -
  • Wait until the very end to add the sauce, otherwise the vegetables will steam in the liquid and lose their crisp texture.
  • Butter lettuce is the hero here because the leaves are like sturdy, little cups that do not tear when you load them up.
03 -
  • Firm tofu crumbles work wonders as a substitute if you need a vegetarian option.
  • Toasted sesame oil drizzled over the top right before serving adds a wonderful nutty aroma.
