12 - 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

02 - Add halved baby potatoes and diced onion to the slow cooker with the seared steak.
03 - In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, dried thyme, dried rosemary, and crushed red pepper flakes until thoroughly combined.
04 - Pour the garlic butter mixture evenly over the steak and potatoes. Stir gently to coat all ingredients with the seasoning.
05 - Cover and cook on LOW setting for 3.5 to 4 hours, or until potatoes are fork-tender and steak reaches desired doneness.
06 - Taste the dish and adjust seasoning if necessary. Garnish generously with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • Everything cooks in one pot while you go about your life
  • The garlic butter sauce makes everything taste restaurant special
  • Leftovers reheat beautifully for tomorrow lunch
02 -
  • Searing the meat first is not optional because that brown flavor is what makes it taste like beef stew instead of boiled meat
  • Do not lift the lid during cooking because every peek adds 15 minutes to the cooking time
03 -
  • Pat the steak completely dry before searing or it will steam instead of brown
  • Use baby potatoes that are all similar sizes so they finish cooking at the same time
